Caroline Springs shooting: Man in serious condition

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a man was shot in the face in Caroline Springs on Monday morning.

Police and paramedics were called to Holland Street at 7.30am after an injured man was found wandering the streets.

The Roxburgh Park man, 22, was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with what is believed to be a gunshot wound to the face.

He was in a serious but stable condition.
