SUNSHINE Heights Primary School pupils Tina and Wenhao, both 11, have received a historic photo collection from long-time Sunshine resident Len Stevens and son John (pictured).
The photos of past pupils were snapped by Len, whose three children attended the school in the 1960s.
Principal Alex Artavilla said the photos would be added to a history wall started last year as part of the school’s ‘honouring history’ program.
“We have a lot of children at the school who come from migrant backgrounds and might not be familiar with the history of the area. Not only will this wall be used to teach them about Sunshine’s history, but it will also be used to document the students who passed through these walls and will be treasured by children for many years to come.”
