Students at Delahey’s Mackellar Primary School marked 100 days since the start of the school year with a special celebration last week.
The prep, grade one and grade two pupils had been counting down to July 20 since the first day of school in anticipation of the special milestone.
The school’s instructional leader, Fiona Clarke said the day was a chance for students to celebrate everything they had learnt in their first 100 days of the year.
She said the milestone was usually celebrated by only the school’s prep classes, but was extended to include grades one and two this year.
The students wore crowns and necklaces depicting the number 100, listened to stories and enjoyed cupcakes.
“The best part … was that the students didn’t realise they were still learning,” Ms Clarke said.
