IN FOCUS: Festive delights at Taylors Lakes Hotel

“Wow, how fast has the year gone already?” asks Terry Gunn, marketing manager of Taylors Lakes Hotel. “Now that the football season has finished, many people are starting to saddle up for the Spring Racing Carnival. Then the festive season.”

Taylors Lakes Hotel is also gearing up for this busy time and has many different offers that may assist the Brimbank community to make this spring season and Christmas extra-memorable.

Its award-winning International Sports Bar will show all the horse racing during October and November on huge TV screens. Terry suggests customers try their luck with a TAB punt on their favourite horse, jockey, number or even colours. Punters have the convenience of seven EBTs.

He says the hotel is currently taking bookings for Christmas parties that can be held in one of many function rooms.

“Numbers can be from 50 to 300, depending on how large your business may be. Or, alternatively, the smaller gatherings could be held in JBJ’s Restaurant or the International Sports Bar.

“If you need any assistance at all,” Terry continues, “just give us a call to discuss and then pick a date. But please don’t wait for too long!”

As usual, the hotel has secured fantastic acts – back by popular demand – for its Christmas entertainment. The first of these is BABBA, performing on November 16; then there’s the ELVIS Tribute on December 13; and finally, a New Year’s Eve four-course Dinner Dance.

“All these dinner shows were booked out last year as these acts are extremely popular for work parties. They perform in the prestigious Starlight Ballroom on our special elevated stage, so that everyone can see and hear the show.

“A dance floor in front of the stage will be ready for those wishing to jive along. Our shows come with professional full lighting and sound production. This particular room is ideal for getting up close and personal with the acts.”

If you haven’t done so already, bookings are now being accepted for the hotel’s popular and delicious Christmas lunch.

“Our lunch last year booked out very quickly, as it is known as one of the best in Brimbank. So I encourage you to call us very soon because I don’t like it when we have to disappoint customers.”
