With a record number of entries, including interstate and international productions, it’s all systems go for the Sunshine Short Film Festival this Friday (October 30).
With a “superhero” theme, the festival is back for its fourth year and promising to bring excitement to audiences.
Categories are for primary and secondary students, and there’s an open section with a winner’s prize of $5000.
The films are being screened at Village Cinemas in Sunshine.
“We have a lot of very talented and creative people in the western region,” says festival co-ordinator Steve Pereira.
“It’s been really exciting to see how many people have embraced the challenge of making a five-minute film on a theme while keeping a local flavour.”
