A galaxy of hand-decorated lanterns will set alight Hampshire Road later this month for the Sunshine Lantern Festival.

Live entertainment and street performances, international food stalls, rides, lion and dragon dancing, a car display by the Motor Cars International of Sunshine and, of course, the lantern parade and spectacular fireworks will all be in celebration of the full moon.

The action starts at 10am and continues until 8pm on Saturday, September 19.

Almost 20,000 people enjoyed last year’s vibrant multicultural festival, which is the largest lantern festival in Victoria and a traditional event in Vietnam and other south-east Asian nations.
