Art exhibitions

Two new art exhibitions have opened at the Hunt Club Community Art Centre. Santo Casella’s latest exhibition, Kororoit Creek Landscapes, honors the important role of Kororoit Creek, while Christine Dennis’ exhibition Journey of the Spirit through Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam, 2015, focuses on spirituality in diverse cultures and places. Both exhibitions are free and run until March 19 at 775 Ballarat Road:

Cultural leadership

Multicultural Arts Victoria will run cultural leadership workshops in Brimbank during March. Culturally diverse artists and community leaders of Melbourne’s west are invited to these free workshops, to share ideas and develop skills in community leadership and cultural management. Workshops will run every Saturday during March at St Albans Community Centre. Bookings essential. Contact:

New classes

Duke Street Community House launches new classes this month following feedback from 2016. It will now offer kids’ yoga and code club, mosaic and baking classes, social media, a knitting club and a range of English and digital literacy classes. Dates and enrolment information online at:

History of Keilor
