Queens Park Retirement Living opens its doors to the community

Local residents will have the chance to explore one of Moonee Ponds’ most established independent living communities when Doutta Galla Aged Services’ Queens Park Retirement Living hosts a community Open Day on Saturday, 17 May, from 11 am to 1 pm.

The event invites older adults and their families to tour secure, two-bedroom apartments located directly opposite the scenic Queens Park Gardens and Lake. Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet residents, enjoy a light lunch, and learn more about the lifestyle and services on offer.

Located a short stroll from the vibrant Puckle Street precinct, the village offers convenient access to cafés, shops, public transport, and the Palace Penny Lane cinema. Residents enjoy a strong sense of connection through regular social activities and a lifestyle program that supports

healthy, independent living.

The Open Day will feature Shemsa Osmancevic, a Retirement Living Property Council committee board member and experienced manager in business, village and project management.

Shemsa will be available to answer questions and speak about retirement living as a positive “third choice” between staying at home and entering residential aged care.

“Doutta Galla aims to help people live comfortably and independently,” Ms Osmancevic said.

“The Open Day is a great chance to see the community for yourself, meet some of our lovely residents, and hear about tailored retirement and in-home care options in a relaxed setting.”

Doutta Galla Queens Park is home to a vibrant and diverse group of residents, including former librarians, artists, textile workers, and aspiring novelists – all contributing to a welcoming and engaging environment.

The village also offers access to a full continuum of care, with residential aged care located next door and in-home support services such as Home Care Packages and Support at Home available through Doutta Galla.

Bookings are essential. To RSVP, call or text: 0402 225 140, email: ida@desiredrealty.com.au or visit www.retirequeenspark.com.au
