Natural smiles at K.N.D.

Each member of the crew at KND Denture Clinic has long experience in making and fitting dentures – full, partial and implant-retained – and a shared desire to see their patients smile with pleasure at the results and to “get their lives back”.

Prosthetist Sam Robertson, who runs the clinic with sister and brother Kathy and Nick Danoucaras, along with Aleksy Rozyski, says their aim is always to give their patients a new lease on life, without inhibitions around smiling and self-confidence.

“Our clinic is very professional but it’s relaxed and friendly, too,” Sam says.

“Anyone who comes to us can be assured the welcome will be warm, the advice is sound.”

The clinic, which has been in St Albans for more than 35 years, with a second location opened in Caroline Springs, has a lovely homey feel.

Once a private home, it exudes a relaxed, comfortable environment that helps dispel any anxiety – and the talented team of prosthetists go out of their way to make it a positive experience.

All dentures are made on site, with great effort taken to match the patient’s individual profile to produce outstandingly natural results.

The first step is an initial consultation – with no referral required.

“At this time, we assess what type of denture would work best,” Sam says. “There are several stages and visits involved in making dentures.

“We make sure both natural dentition and prosthetic teeth are colour-matched as closely as possible. Once dentures are inserted, any adjustments are done at no extra charge to the patient.”

Sam has a particular interest in implant-retained over-dentures.

“These are constructed to cover much less of the tissue in the mouth, and movement of the denture is much less than that of a conventional denture,” he says. “Implants are surgically placed in the mouth, and it should be noted that criteria has to be met to make them a suitable option for our patients.”

Now an Australian Made and Owned approved licensee, the clinic accepts all government vouchers and forms, connects with private health insurance carriers, and offers Hi-Caps facilities.

Please contact the clinic for changed business hours during the coronavirus pandemic.
