Circus fun

Meet some magical creatures in Carp Productions’ Circus Under the Sea at Lalor library on Friday, June 2. 10-11am. There will be face-painting and circus fun, craft and door prizes available. At 2a May Road.

Hindsight exhibition

If given the chance, what would you say to your younger self? Share the wisdom of our senior community members through Thomastown library’s Hindsight exhibition featuring portrait photography, words of wisdom, video footage and a community reflection space. It’s at 52 Main Street throughout June.

Worm farming for kids

Learn about the new children’s garden at Whittlesea library and see how worm juice can make everything grow during kids’ worm farming event on Tuesday, June 6, 4-5pm. At 57-61 Laurel Street. Suitable for children aged five and over.

Trivia night

Help raise money for Epping North Pre-school at a trivia night on Saturday, June 24, from 7.30pm. The night is the pre-school’s biggest fundraising event for the year and will feature trivia, games and great prizes. Money raised will be used to purchase much-needed equipment for the kinder. Tickets are $15 if pre-purchased or $20 at the door. BYO food. At 378 Findon Road.

Working bee

The Friends of the Alister Clark Memorial Rose Garden will be holding a working bee on Friday, June 2, 9am-1pm. Please bring boots and gloves. At Green Street, Bulla.

Knitting group

Join Lalor library’s charity knitting group on Wednesday, June 7, 10am-noon, and create items for local, national and international charities. The group meets to knit and chat. It’s at 2a May Road, Lalor.

Sunday market

Browse the indoor market at Broadmeadows Aquatic and Leisure Centre, Tanderrum Way, on Sunday, June 18 and help raise money from the Friends of Sammy Joe. There will be arts and crafts, food stalls, children’s activities and live music. From 11am-3pm.
