Best in show: 3 Purley Court, Hillside, 3037

Three Purley Court, Hillside was owner-built and features more than 90 squares of living space, all high-end and tech-enabled. It definitely has the ‘wow’ factor.

In fact, all of the multiple gadgets wired into this extensive residence are remote controlled. Open the front door remotely, or turn on the spa – it’s all possible.

The double front doors open to spotted blue gum flooring and more than three-metre high ceilings.

The massive theatre room on the ground floor has plush carpeting with tiered floors and theatre seating. The JVC projector and huge screen create an awesome cinema-style experience.

All three bathrooms are spacious and use a soothing white and grey palette for a day spa-style appeal.

The kitchen also features only the very best. Deep Caesarstone benches frame the 1200mm stainless-steel Ilve oven with a seven-burner gas cooktop. A breakfast bench has enough seating for four. Shoji doors, a large walk-in pantry and loads of 2pac soft-closing cabinetry create an easy-to-work-in space for the resident
cook.

There are two further living zones downstairs; the open-plan-style lounge area, as well as a TV-style room with huge, heavy-set sliding internal doors for easy zoning.

Upstairs there are five bedrooms, four with built-in robes, the main bedroom with twin walk-in robes and a huge en suite with a twin-basin vanity and loads of storage. There is also a study and a retreat that opens to the balcony.

The outdoor entertaining area is resort-style impressive, with a deep undercover deck with steps down to a paved area and solar-heated pool and spa. A Bali-style undercover area for hot summer days looks over it all.

The pool house comprises an extensive stainless-steel, fully equipped outdoor kitchen that offers plenty of storage and a television point.

Cafe doors keep it enclosed but on hot days it can be opened up. A full-sized outdoor bathroom with a shower and toilet is adjacent.

There is a four-car garage to one side on approach; a single car to the other.

Other features include zoned heating and cooling, 40 solar panels, double-glazed windows and a security system.
