Consultation for the Sydenham transit city strategy plan will not be extended beyond March 11, despite a demand from a crowded residents’ forum last week for an extension of at least 12 months.

Brimbank council last week adopted a compromise motion by Robertson ward councillor Margaret Giudice, which omitted the residents’ demand for $20,000 in council funding to enable them to hire their own planning consultant.
