Man knocked out and robbed in St Albans

A St Albans man has been robbed and knocked unconscious by two strangers in a random street attack early on Tuesday morning.

The 38-year-old was walking east along Power Street about 12.10am when he was assaulted and knocked out by two unknown men.

His phone, wallet and keys were stolen.

A man later attempted to use the victim’s credit at a service station on Main Road East about 1.10am.

The suspicious attendant refused to hand back the card to the man, who is described as African and was wearing a green singlet.

Police are yet to determine if he was involved in the actual robbery.
