Two people have been arrested in Braybrook after they allegedly fled from police in Wangaratta this afternoon.
The pair were spotted by police in a divisional van around midday, travelling in a Holden Commodore on Wangaratta Road, matching the description of a car police were searching for.
The Air Wing monitored the vehicle as it sped away from the van and made its way to the city along the Hume Freeway.
The pair set off on foot after a collision at the intersection of Duke Street and Ballarat Road in Braybrook about 2.30pm.
The 21-year-old man, of no fixed abode, and 20-year-old Wangaratta woman were arrested in a hotel car park in Ballarat Road a short time later.
They are currently being interviewed.
