St Albans eyesore now a work of art

It was once plagued by graffiti, but an eight-metre fence bordering the Telstra exchange at St Albans has been transformed by the inspiration and dedication of two local artists.

Telstra and Brimbank council came together to combat a tagging problem, and commissioned a stunning mural in Victoria Crescent, put together by Marcos Diaz and an assistant in one, long nine-hour shift.

Telstra’s network facility operations general manager George Bradilovic said: “His talent has made this building a vibrant part of the St Albans community, which I’m proud to have grown up in.”
