‘Colonel’ trims top lip for men’s health

It was the shave that will help save a nation.

On Melbourne Cup Day, St Albans cancer survivor Graeme “Colonel” Jeffs (pictured) relieved his top lip of hair for Movember – a national campaign where men grow and groom moustaches for 30 days while raising funds and awareness for men’s health.

It’s the fourth year as a Mo Bro for the 60-year-old, who had a malignant melanoma removed from his forehead two years ago.

He’s raised about $1500 so far.

“This year we are hoping to get the magic $2000,” he said.

Graeme’s campaign has already attracted big money from local businesses and support from StAlbans Leisure Centre.

You can donate at the Movember website, or track Graeme’s progress at Rent the Roo’s facebook page.

Campaign posters have also been produced, so email Graeme on graemejeffs@outlook.com if you want to support his cause on your wall.
