A 48-year-old Melton West man has faced court charged with the murder of a man killed in an alleged hit-run in Deer Park on Friday.
Gavin Fogwell appeared in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Saturday after being charged over the death of the 43-year-old Deer Park man.
The man was found dead on Ballarat Road, near Robinsons Road, about 9.45pm on Friday and Mr Fogwell was arrested at the scene by police.
Mr Fogwell was remanded in custody until October 7.
Victoria Police spokeswoman Kelly Grindley earlier said the two men were believed to be known to each other.
