A group of junior basketballers in Keilor have that winning feeling … and they’re doing everything they can to hold on to it. Keilor Thunder’s under-12 team has completed a rare double act in its first year of representative basketball. Having won the Eltham/Dandenong junior tournament in January, the boys returned to the top earlier this month. Coached by Eden and Di Donoghue (right), the Keilor lads claimed the premiership cup in the Victorian Junior Basketball League state championship under-12 division. The Thunder accounted for Craigieburn in the grand final, getting home by a comfortable eight points, 39-31.
