More than 100 young female footballers are expected to join forces at Caroline Springs next month to chase the leather.
Christ the Priest Catholic Primary School has organised the grades 3 and 4, all-girl tournament for Monday, October 19.
So far, Parkwood Green and Brookside primary schools have signed up to play.
“With three schools and 10 teams locked in already, we should have at least 120 girls – as many as 150 – running around, which is a great result,” event organiser Aron Lombardi said.
Christ the Priest’s team is being coached by the school’s grade 6 players for the event, which is supported by the Western Bulldogs Football Club and AFL Victoria.
