A lot ventured, much gained at CRC Sydenham

Nine Catholic Regional College Sydenham students received Queen’s Scout awards last Friday from Victoria’s Governor, Linda Dessau, at Government House.

They were among 67 Victorian Venture Scouts to achieve the award this year.

The award is given to Scouts who have spent at least 300 hours training as young leaders, involving themselves in community services and mastering the skills of outdoor adventure.

Venture Scouts are aged 14-18 and, for the Sydenham students, scouting is part of the school’s religious education studies.
