A police officer from the North West Metro region will face Sunshine Magistrates Court next month over a string of charges including false imprisonment.
The officer, who was on duty at the time of the alleged offences, will also face charges of recklessly causing serious injury, intentionally and recklessly causing injury and unlawful assault.
It follows an investigation by Professional Standards Command and the officer’s arrest on May 17.
The officer, who is currently suspended with pay, will face court on October 5.
