Chance for seniors to shape up across Brimbank

Older residents in Brimbank are being encouraged to make use of a new seniors-only exercise park in Sunshine North.

With platforms, steps, bridges and bars, it’s designed to keep over-60s in shape for daily tasks like climbing stairs and gardening.

Seniors are also being invited to the park to take part in an 18-week trial of twice-weekly exercise sessions, of one hour and 90 minutes’ duration.

Participants will make three visits to Victoria University’s Footscray Park campus for lessons on muscle strength, balance skills and general health.
