Albion fire: Two homes damaged in suspicious blaze

Police are investigating a suspicious fire which engulfed two neighbouring properties in Albion this morning.

The fire started about 3.35am between both single-storey weatherboard homes in Clairmont Street, before it spread to the wall of one property.

Six people were evacuated from a boarding accomodation after being alerted by a smoke alarm and neighbours banging on the door.

A family in the other home were also alerted by a smoke alarm.
