CONCRETE CITY FIGHT (Weekly, October 8)
Please consider the plight of Cairnlea residents. We don’t need more industrial zones. From Laverton to Campbellfield, empty warehouses are everywhere. Why not make a good impression with the very last precious parcel of land remaining
in Cairnlea? I’ve always adored Caroline Springs. The place is so well set up and vibrant and still provides job opportunities.
Why did they not put industrial zoning in that estate? They must have done their research.
I would like to see Cairnlea be a vibrant place to live and play in.

LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL
From early next year, smokers will be banned from lighting up at raised platforms at tram stops and on uncovered train platforms. An estimated 235,000 Victorians catch the train or tram every day – a figure that is growing steadily.
