JOHN Knox knows a thing or two about alternative energy.
The self-proclaimed climate change warrior (pictured) recently finished a 22-week, 8500-kilometre journey around Australia, using only pedal power.
Knox’s solo cycle trip had him talking with audiences nationwide about the need to use energy wisely, and now he’s bringing his message to Sunshine.
Mr Knox will be the guest speaker at Brimbank Council’s free energy efficiency workshop at Sunshine library tomorrow; he’ll be teaching residents about power-saving appliances, solar power, online energy calculators and easy options to save energy at home.
Participants will also learn about the council’s energy-saving kits, available to all Brimbank library members.
