A CONNECTION between younger and older generations in East Keilor was formed when primary school pupils took in a history lesson from RSL members (pictured) on April 24.
About 50 Keilor Heights Primary School pupils were given a tour of the East Keilor RSL and joined in a wreath-laying ceremony at the cenotaph.
Principal Michael Giulieri says the children were fortunate that some Diggers shared their stories about serving their country.
“It still means so much to the Diggers and we were lucky to see memorabilia and photos about the Anzacs,” he said.
“This will become a yearly event for the school and the East Keilor branch of the RSL, and our year 6 pupils will take an active part in learning and experiencing a major part of Australian history.”
