BUDDING chef Amelia Mpadogiannis (pictured with her grandmother, Rosa Tartaglia) loves to cook Italian and Greek cuisine.
But she says she’s at her best when making desserts.
The Taylors Lakes resident, 12, started cooking at age 2 and recently had her lemon and cream cheese buttercake recipe published in a national magazine.
She learned the recipe from her grandmother whom she describes as the perfect mentor.
“I always spend time with my grandma in the kitchen and she has passed on many family recipes,” Amelia says.
“I’ve applied to be on Junior MasterChef but didn’t make it in. I’d like to be a chef and I just love cooking.”
