GRADE 5 and 6 pupils at Kings Park Primary School will dress as their favourite horror book characters today to celebrate the Education Week.
Events are taking place across Brimbank, with kindergartens and government schools staging information nights, open days, displays and performances to showcase their programs and pupils’ achievements.
Kings Park grade 6 team leader Hatice Rifat says the school chose a horror theme because many pupils were interested in the genre.
“Books like the Goosebumps series are very popular with our older children so we thought this theme might encourage them to read more.”
Children will make a gold coin donation, which will go towards more literary resources.
