Buckingham Reserve fit for a palace

A NEW playground at Sunshine West’s Buckingham Reserve is proving a big hit with children like Lilith, 7, and Morris, 4 (pictured).

Stage two works, including a flying fox, rock walls, water play area and sandpit, were unveiled by Brimbank administrator Joanne Anderson last week.

She said the two-stage, $2 million upgrade had created an outstanding park not just for the people of Brimbank but for all of Melbourne.

“Unlike some playgrounds, this one offers lots of adventure and scope for imagination,” she said.

“The playground has also become a favourite outing for the Sunshine Special School just down the road.”

Other additions include a large picnic and barbecue area and new trees and plants.
