Passenger dies, driver charged

POLICE have charged a Truganina man with culpable driving after a Deer Park man died in a crash.

The man, 29, died after the incident at the intersection of Forsyth Road and Waterways Boulevard, Truganina, about 11pm on June 8.

He was a passenger in a car which crashed into a power pole and died at the scene.

Two other passengers were taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital, one in a serious condition.

The driver, 28, has been charged with culpable driving causing death and dangerous driving causing death.

Police want to speak to a man who was driving a 2002 red Holden Commodore sedan in the area at the time of the incident.
