KEILOR’S Adam Vella finished 15th in the men’s trap shooting event at the Royal Artillery Barracks held on Monday.
The Frankston Clay Target Club member finished on 119, three shots behind the top six who qualified for the final.
The top six included two time Olympic gold medallist Michael Diamond who finished fourth after leading in the early rounds of the event.
Vella, 41, finished the qualifying rounds with two perfect scores of 25 but it wasn’t enough to catapult him up the leaderboard.
Vella is a Commonwealth Games Gold medallist (Melbourne and Manchester) and an Olympic bronze medallist (Athens).
