WRFL: Sunshine Kangaroos eliminated

SUNSHINE Kangaroos could not move beyond the Western Region Football League division 1 elimination final, losing to Port Melbourne Colts by 44 points at Avalon Airport Oval on Sunday.

The Kangaroos were in touching distance of the Warriors at half-time, trailing by just five points.

It all turned pear shaped for the Brett Jacobs-coached team, who were out-scored nine goals to three after half-time.

Patrick Wiggins was the Roos prime target with four goals, while Tom Millar, one of the best on ground, booted three.

Seth Hill, Ben McInneny and Paul Sheehan were the other influential contributors for the Roos.

Final score: Hoppers Crossing 17.22 (124) d Sunshine Kangaroos 11.14 (80).
