Errington draft plan

RESIDENTS flocked to Errington Reserve in St Albans last Thursday for the launch of the council’s draft master plan for the site.

The $18 million vision includes an all-abilities playground — the first of its kind in the state — and redevelopment of gardens and paths.

Brimbank chairman Peter Lewinsky said the council had secured $500,000 of state government funding to develop a new community centre.

He said the plan would guide future developments at the site.

“The council hopes this plan will improve public safety and pedestrian accessibility, and encourage greater activity in Errington Reserve and St Albans.”

Works will be completed over the next 10 years, with construction beginning in November.

The plan is available for public comment until September 30.
