A DRESS made of newspaper, a car built from plastic bottles and a mosaic shovel were among the works on show as part of a fashion and art exhibition held by Lakeside College students.
Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning teacher Annie Tsangaridis said the Caroline Springs students had worked tirelessly on the projects, which were created using recycled materials.
More than 50 students, including year 12 VCAL and year 11 cookery students, were involved in Saturday’s show.
Rockbank Primary School pupils also put on a skipping show using ropes made by the VCAL students.
Students’ work was judged by an RMIT fashion lecturer, a hardware specialist and a representative from the Caesia Gardens Retirement Village.
