Two men have been arrested after a gold necklace was stolen from a man in Delahey.

Police said the man, 24, was walking along Coleridge Drive just before 3pm last Wednesday when two men attacked him, stealing the necklace he was wearing.

The men, both 22, from Keilor Park and Meadow Heights, were charged with armed robbery and were remanded to appear in Sunshine Magistrates Court.

Lucky escape as car ploughs into house

Investigations continue after a car crashed into a house in St Albans, trapping an infant inside.

Police said the driver, 60, lost control of his car and smashed into a house in Stevens Road about 8pm on October 19.

Acting Inspector Gilbert said fire crews and police rescued the child, who was trapped in the front room of the house.

“Remarkably he suffered no injuries. The driver was left with a laceration on his head.”

Man charged with alleged assault

A man has been charged over the alleged assault of a woman in her home in Sunshine West.

Police said the man, 29, broke into the house at 10.30am on October 20. It’s alleged he assaulted the woman and demanded money.

He was charged and remanded to appear in Sunshine Magistrates Court.
