Help sought over hit-run

Brimbank police are appealing for information on a hit-run incident in Sunshine. A Sunshine man, 41, was walking across the road at City Place when he was struck by a red Commodore at 3.30pm last Tuesday. Police said there were four men inside the vehicle, which sped off after the incident. The man suffered minor injuries and has been released from Sunshine Hospital.

Man stabbed in St Albans

Detectives are seeking witnesses to a stabbing in St Albans. A Werribee man, 28, was walking with his bike along Alfrieda Street at 1.40pm last Tuesday when he became involved in a verbal altercation with a man and a woman. The man then produced a knife and allegedly stabbed the victim to the upper body, causing serious internal injuries. The victim was rushed to the Royal Melbourne Hospital for emergency surgery and was in a stable condition. Police said the attacker was of Caucasian appearance and in his late 40s.

Crash victim a Melton man

Police have identified a Melton man, 37, who died in hospital after being hit by a truck in Braybrook last Wednesday. His family has been notified.

Trio on drug charges

Brimbank detectives have charged three people after executing a warrant at a house in Lobelia Grove, Cairnlea. A Caroline Springs man, 31, a St Albans man, 37, and a 45-year-old man of no fixed address were charged after police seized more than 300 cannabis plants with a street value of $300,000. The trio were also charged with theft of electricity and other drug offences.
