Melton residents and community groups can attend a public forum about a review of the council’s rating strategy. The review will help council decide how rates are levied in future. Garage door shot at
Investigations continue into a shooting in Taylors Hill on March 8. Police said a man shot two rounds into the garage door of a residential property in Bloomsbury Drive. The man, who was wearing dark pants, fled in a silver vehicle being driven by another man.
Man assaulted on highway
A road rage incident involving two men occurred on the Western Highway at Ravenhall on March 12. One of the men was assaulted and received serious facial injuries. A second man has been interviewed by police and charged with intentionally causing serious injury. Police want to speak to anyone who witnessed the lead-up to the incident.
