Re: Sunvale primary: Where leisure replaces learning (Weekly, March 19):

Any cost associated with securing this important piece of land as an enriching space for the community to come together will pay handsome dividends well into the future in the form of a new generation of residents who connect positively with one another and enjoy healthy, sustainable recreation to benefit their physical, mental and social health. Katie Pahlow (via web)

Keep up the good work. Your work over the past five years has been fantastic and the community is behind you! Christine (via web)

Love the idea, hope it comes true.

Re: Western suburbs Libs on shaky electoral ground (Weekly, March 19):

[Andrew] Elsbury and [Bernie] Finn are not engaged with the community and are not delivering on their promises. Where is the P-12 school for children with autism? Where is the grade separation at Main Road West, St Albans? Where is the park on the former Sunvale school site? Where is the jobs plan for the west?

All talk and no action (via web)

What have the Libs done for the west? Nothing yet. Though they do want to dig a dirty great big hole, (east-west tunnel), presumably for Elsbury and Finn to hide in and avoid scrutiny!

Re: Four-legged fun at Sassella Park (Weekly, March 12):

I suggest that people put a phone number on their dog’s collar. If you can directly contact the owner it avoids headaches through councils or lost dogs homes. The council may fine you for keeping them, or they might even put them down if you are too slow to make contact. I choose not to microchip my dog because a tag is just as good. If your dog is stolen a microchip won’t help you.
