Funds sought to fix Brimbank crossings

TWO Brimbank level crossings have been ranked among the most dangerous in the state by Victorian train drivers. 

The Main Road crossing in St Albans and the Fitzgerald Road crossing in Ardeer were ranked third and seventh-worst in a report conducted by rail safety organisation TrackSAFE. 

Australasian Railway Association chief executive Bryan Nye said the authority had written to state and federal transport ministers, urging them to increase funding for upgrades of dangerous level crossings.
