Kings Park pupils buddy up against bullying

KINGS Park Primary School pupils like Mai, Kobi, Biko and Deniz (pictured) will take a united stance against bullying on this Thursday’s National Buddy Day.

Grade 6 teacher Scott Mercer says the school’s 470 children will be encouraged to bring a gold coin donation  and wear something purple for the Alannah and Madeline Foundation event.

“This is a very important initiative to educate children on the importance of not tolerating bullying in any shape or form.”

The school will also host a lunch with the grade 6 children and their prep buddies. Money raised will go towards introducing the foundation’s Better Buddies Framework into primary schools across the country.
