Banner welcomes refugees in Sunshine

REFUGEE Week activities in Brimbank were launched with the unveiling of a ‘welcome zone’ banner at Sunshine library on June 17.

Brimbank chairman John Watson said the council recognised the positive contribution refugees make to the community.

He also announced a draft Brimbank settlement action plan which identifies key issues facing those settling in the municipality.

The plan will also help inform future partnerships and advocacy plans.
