Teenage sensation Diellon Memishi fired in a double to lift the Eagles into fourth position on the table.
Eagles playing president Besnik Kutleshi told the Weekly his side was starting to iron out some of the inconsistencies that plagued it earlier in the campaign.
“This is the second week running that we’ve played the full 90 minutes,” he said.
“It’s what has been lacking throughout the season, that full awareness for 90 minutes.”
Memishi was the talk of the Eagles’ nest after the young striker pounced to score a goal in each half.
The 30th minute opener came from a scorching free kick that went in off an upright, while the winner came with 20 minutes left.
“That got us up and going,” Kutleshi said of the first goal. “He grabbed the game by the horns and tore it apart. This kid is flying at the moment.”
The diamond midfield of Durim Ajro, Nicky Cullen and Benny Isai was nigh-on-impossible to blanket, while captain Feta Memishi was a dominant force at the back.
“You couldn’t stop them,” Kutleshi said.
“The high pressure, high intensity, winning the ball, closing down … they won us the game.”
One of the keys to the Eagles’ surge up the ladder has been the ability to limit the opposition scoring.
They have gone three games without conceding a goal and it has reinforced the value of recruiting Matthew Banovic, one of the top-line goalkeepers in the division.
“We haven’t had a quality keeper like him for a long time,” Kutleshi said.
“His discipline and his work ethic are unbelievable.
“He’s fit, he’s big, he’s solid, his fitness is unbelievable and he’s explosive off the line.”
The Eagles will face Geelong under lights at Stead Park on Saturday night.
