Community branches out for National Tree Day

MORE than 800 trees and shrubs will be planted near Green Gully Reserve in Keilor Downs for this Sunday’s National Tree Day.

Volunteers, including Friends of Maribyrnong Valley’s Judy Ingram and Martha Ragg (pictured), will also have the chance to interact with wildlife including a wombat, wallaby and ring-tail possum.

Free drinks and a barbecue will be supplied by Brimbank council. Activities start at 10am.
