A FOSTER
carer from Cairnlea has received recognition after 30 years of helping children in need.
Bev Brierty
has been nominated in the carer of the year category of the Robin Clark Memorial Awards.
Bev and her husband Terry have fostered many children over the years.
“I wake up every morning knowing I am contributing to the community, and the positive steps and gains we see in the children bring a lot of joy,” the Baptcare carer said.
The awards, which acknowledge the outstanding work of people involved in foster care, youth, child and family services, are presented in September during Child Protection Week.
