A dangerous Deer Park intersection will be upgraded, thanks to
$490,000 from the state government’s safer roads program.
Traffic
signals will be improved and extra signs and a skid-resistant overlay
added at the intersection of Station, Billingham and Furlong roads.
There were eight casualty crashes at the intersection in the five years
to December 31 last year, six of which resulted in serious injury.
