Cairnlea land expected to fetch at least $6.5 million

A piece of Brimbank council-owned land in Cairnlea is expected to fetch at least $6.5 million.

Real estate agent Fitzroys, acting on behalf of council, said the land was “suitable to a wide range of development scenarios”.

The 1.925-hectare site, on the corner of Cairnlea Drive and Furlong Road, was originally slated for new council offices.

Agent James Gregson said he expected the land to sell for “in excess of $6.5 million”.

“We’re expecting interest to come from a mix of developers, community groups and organisations.”

Council announced the land would be up for sale in October last year.
