Three locations around Sunshine’s CBD will house new art works costing Brimbank council almost $130,000.
To be installed by the end of the financial year, three pieces from renowned New South Wales sculptor Col Henry will be located at the Sunshine Train Station Bus Interchange, the centre median on Hampshire Road and the public open space area in the Sunshine Town Centre.
“We anticipate installation of the three artworks before the end of the financial year,” he said.

“The artworks were commissioned for a total cost of $129,090.90, excluding GST,” Director Community Wellbeing Neil Whiteside said.
The sculpture near City Place will provide a marker for pedestrians and be seen as commuters descend the stairs when leaving Sunshine train station.
Images collected during community consultation will be placed on the lower section of each column of the art work.
Henry has also been commissioned to provide work for James Cook University in Townsville and Marcellin College in Randwick.
