VicTrack is in talks with Brimbank council about the sale and future use of the Sunshine council offices.
As reported by the Weekly, council staff will move to the new community and civic centre in Hampshire Road in mid-2016.
The council part-owns the existing site with VicTrack.
“VicTrack has commenced initial discussions with Brimbank City Council regarding the future use of council’s civic offices in Sunshine,” a VicTrack spokesman said. “The discussions have been very preliminary and as yet we have no definite plans or a timeline.”
The successful tender for the new building will be announced in July with work due to start in September.
