St Albans woman punched during violent bag theft

Police are calling for information following a violent theft last month where a St Albans woman was punched several times.

The woman had her bag snatched as she walked home on March 18 on Milawa Avenue about 8.50pm.

A man allegedly ran up behind her and pushed her against a fence, punching her several times.

He was last seen fleeing along Main Road East.

Police have released an image of a man whom they believe may be able to assist them in their enquiries.

He is described as Pacific Islander in appearance, around 168cm tall with a solid build, short dark hair and was wearing a fitted blue and white horizontal striped singlet, shorts and thongs.
