We’re in good hands as young leaders honoured

Fourteen of the north-west’s best young leaders have been rewarded for their hard work and community service.

Gorton MP Brendan O’Connor (pictured, centre) last week presented certificates to winners of the Gorton Young Leaders Awards.

The annual awards recognise recently graduated high school students who have displayed outstanding leadership. “Each recipient here has distinguished themselves as a future leader through their commitment to their education and their community,” Mr O’Connor said.

This year’s winners are students at Melton Secondary College, Lakeview Senior College, Staughton College, Melton Christian College, Victoria University Secondary College, Catholic Regional College Melton and Copperfield College.
